Melonia is a mom and a Registered Social Worker with 12 years experience dually-certified in Perinatal Mental Health internationally and here in Canada with previous roles including as an Autism & Early Intervention specialist supporting families of children 0-5. Melonias passion in Maternal Mental Health started after her own traumatic introduction to motherhood and a desire to ensure moms that followed had a different experience. An immigrant from a farming family, Melonia also has a special interest in rural and newcomer mental health. Melonia is based in Winnipeg.
